A total of 152 Bangladesh citizens, stranded in the United Arab Emirates (UAE) due to the lockdown and international flight suspension meant to curb coronavirus spread, returned home on July 1.

Airport sources said that a special flight of private US-Bangla Airlines, carrying the Bangladeshi nationals, arrived at Hazrat Shahjalal International Airport in Dhaka at 08:50am.

US-Bangla Airlines operated the flight under the auspices of Bangladesh Air Force Welfare Trust.

“Prior to depart UAE, every passenger from Dubai carried a coronavirus negative certificate,” said the airport officials.
