Navy ship ‘Somudra Avijan’ departs Indian port

Bangladesh Navy ship ‘Somudra Avijan’ on Tuesday departed the port of Visakhapatnam after a three-day (September 14-16) successful training trip to India.

Indian Navy bade customary farewell to the departing ship in accordance with naval traditions.

On the occasion of the training trip to India, on September 15, BNS Somudra Avijan organized a reception on the ship in honour of the Indian Navy.

Rear Admiral Puneet Chandha of the Indian Navy was present as the chief guest at the programme.

Brigadier General Abul Kalam Mohammad Ziaur Rahman, Defense Advisor of Bangladesh High Commission in India, M Zahirul Islam, commander of BNS Somudra Avijan, eastern area high officials of the Indian Navy and officers and sailors were present.
