Argentina head coach Lionel Scaloni opens up on some difficulties the younger players may face while playing alongside Lionel Messi. Apparently, the Blaugrana No.10 serves as an example which would be rather complicated to follow. After all, Messi seems to be from another planet due to his unbelievable skills.
Goal quote Scaloni as saying: “The shadow of him which hangs over the pitch might be too much for some of the youngsters. We are always asking about him. In the matches he’s played for the national team, it’s very rare that he hasn’t given his all. The best thing we can do is ask for everyone else to perform as they do for their clubs.”Scaloni also addresses the issue of a lack of the international trophies won by Messi. He only scooped the Olympic Gold back in 2008. Since then he has only managed to reach two Copa America and one World Cup final in the course of three years.
