Saudi road crash victims identified

Bangladesh Embassy in Riyadh has identified 10 Bangladeshi workers who were killed in a road crash in Saudi Arabia on Thursday. 

The dead were identified as Bahadur, son of Harez Uddin from Kalihati of Tangail, Rafiqul Islam, son of Anowar Hossain from Bheramara of Kushtia, Yunus Ali, son of Abdul Khalek from Phulbaria of Mymensingh, Jamaluddin Majhi, son of Mannan Majhi from Monohordi of Narsingdi, Gias uddin Mridha, son of Tafiz uddin Mridha from Manda of Naogaon, Md Jewel, son of Giasuddin from Pakundia of Kishoreganj, Imdadul, son of Rashid from Monohord of Narsingdi, Md Manik, son of Md Ramzan Ali from Manda of Naogaon, Md Al Amin, son of Abdul Mannan Sheikh from Monohordi of Narsingdi and Md Monir Hossain, son of Md Shamsul Haque from Kalihati of Tangail.

The workers were killed when a minibus carrying them to Madina from Dammam fell in a ditch due to tyre burst in a place named Shaqra, some 100kms off Riyadh.

The 10 Bangladeshis were employed by Al Habib Company, according to a statement of Bangladesh Embassy in Riyadh.

Of the seven others, who were injured in the accident, two Bangladeshis are undergoing treatment at a hospital in Riyadh and three others at another hospital in Shaqra while the remaining two were released after primary treatment, the statement said.
