2nd reunion of CU Alumni Assoc Nov 18

The second reunion of former students of Chittagong University (CU) will be held on the university day on November 18 this year.

The decision was taken at a meeting of the University Alumni Association on Friday.

The associations’ office was also inaugurated at the CU Fine Arts department in the city’s Badsha Mian Road before the meeting.

CU Vice Chancellor (VC) Professor Dr Iftekhar Uddin Chowdhury inaugurated the office.

The meeting also approved the draft constitution and logo of the organisation at the meeting.

The Association President and former Principal Secretary Abdul Karim inaugurated the official website of the association ‘www.cuaa.cu.ac.bd’ after the meeting.

In the meeting, a 51-member committee was formed making CUCSU VP Nazim Uddin convenor and former Chhatra League President Muhammad Shahjahan member secretary for distributing membership forms among the former students across the country.

 With the association president Abdul Karim in the chair, its General Secretary and Chattogram Chamber of Commerce and Industry (CCCI) President Mahbubul Alam, former CUCSU VP Majharul Haque Shah, Prime Minister’s former Protocol Officer Alauddin Ahmed Nasim, Kazi Mahmud Imam Bilu, Zafar Alam, Daud Abdullah Liton, Mokaddes Ali Majumder Shaheen, Ferdous Bashir and Dr ABM Abu Noman addressed the meeting among others.

Mentionable, the first reunion and golden jubilee of the university was observed in 2016.
