UK professor calls on DU VC

Prof Lisa Gordon Clark of the University of Roehampton, UK, calls on Dhaka University Vice-Chancellor Prof Dr Md Akhtaruzzaman at the latter’s office of the university on Sunday.

Professor of the University of Roehampton, UK, Lisa Gordon Clark called on Dhaka University (DU) Vice-Chancellor Prof Dr Md Akhtaruzzaman at the latter’s office of the university on Sunday.

Chairperson of the Department of Educational and Counseling Psychology of DU Prof Dr Mahjabeen Haque, Prof Dr Shaheen Islam, Founder of the Orphan Trust, UK, Mina Morris and some other faculty members were present on the occasion, says a press release.

During the meeting, they stressed the need for development of skills to take care of children properly. The possibilities of introducing training programme on child care at DU with the technical assistance from UK were also discussed.  

Later, Prof Lisa Gordon Clark delivered a lecture in a seven-day long training programme on “Therapeutic Play” at the Department of Educational and Counseling Psychology of DU.
