Int’l Chinno Mela begins tomorrow at RU

A two-day international ‘Chinno Mela’ will be started on Monday at Rajshahi University (RU) under the banner of ‘‘Chinno Mela Chirayoto Bangla” for the fourth times on the campus. 

Chinno, a literature based paper of Bangla Department of RU, will organise the programme which will be continued till Tuesday.

They also chalked out different programmes including colourful procession and discussion meeting on the campus.

Convener of Chinno Professor Dr Shahid Iqbal informed the matter thorough a press conference held on Deans’ Complex on the campus on Saturday.

RU Vice Chancellor Prof Dr Abdus Sobhan is scheduled to be present as chief guest while Pro-vice chancellor Prof Dr Ananda Kumar Saha and Prof Dr Chawdhury Md Zakaria will be present as special guests at the programme.

Besides, noted writer Prof Dr Hasan Azizul Hoque, Professor Emirates Arun Kumar Bosakh, Prof Md Norullah, Prof Goalm Kabir, Prof Sarker Sojith Kumar and Prof Golam Sabbir Satta will be present as the honourable guests at the event.

Around 125 stalls of literature-based papers will be present on the occasion. Among them, 95 stalls form Bangladesh and 30 from Kolkata.

Besides, eight of them will be given ‘Littlemege’ award—three from Kolkata and five from Bangladesh, he added.
