‘Skilled teacher must for qualitative edn’

Chittagong Independent University (CIU) Vice Chancellor (VC) Professor Dr Mahfuzul Hoque Chowdhury observed that there is no alternative to skilled teacher, and standard curriculum and text books for ensuring qualitative education in the country.

The CIU has been advancing with long-term plan for ensuring the proper environment for education at the university.

He said these while addressing at meeting of the university academic council at its conference room on Sunday.

The VC informed that initiatives have been taken for introducing some more certificate courses and programmes in a bid to increase skills of the university students.

He also highlighted different initiatives taken for developing human values, morality and flourishing talents of the students.

The university Trustee Board Members Syed Mahmudul Hoque, Safia Rahman, Lutfe M Ayub, Syndicate Members Professor Mahmudul Hoque, Professor Dr M Ayub Islam and Academic Council Member Secretary and Acting Registrar Anjuman Banu Lima addressed the meeting among others.

Different issues including approval of academic calendar for 2019, tuition fee, syllabus, participation of students in field level, scholars’ day and forming of creative writers’ club were discussed at the meeting among others.
