Bus driver’s aide put on remand

CHATTOGRAM: A Chattogram court on Sunday granted three-day remand for the helper of the bus driver in the case filed in connection with the killing of passenger Rezaul Karim after pushing him off the bus following an altercation over extra fare on August 27.  

The court of Chattogram Metropolitan Magistrate Al Imran granted the remand after Police Bureau of Investigation (PBI) produced the accused before it with five-day remand prayer, said Additional Deputy Commissioner (ADC-Prosecution) Nirmalendu Bikash Chakrabartya of the Chattogram Metropolitan Police (CMP). 

The accused was identified as Md Manik Sarkar, 26, son of Md Mostafa Sarkar of the port city’s Akbar Shah area.
