The seventh edition of the SAFF Women’s Championship 2024 will take place at the Dasharath Rangasala in Kathmandu, Nepal on 17-30 October.
The previous edition of this competition was also held in Nepal where Bangladesh clinched their historical maiden SAFF title beating the hosts by 3-1 goals in the final.
The venue was confirmed in a meeting of the SAFF Competitions Committee on Monday.
“The reason behind selecting Nepal is the flights are available there and the visa process is easier,” SAFF General Secretary Anwarul Haque Helal told The Daily Sun after the meeting.
This year, all seven nations of the South Asian region including defending champions Bangladesh, runners-up Nepal, India, Maldives, Pakistan, Sri Lanka and Bhutan will feature in the tournament.
