Comilla Victorians and Bangladesh national team pacer Mustafizur Rahman did not suffer any internal damage to his head, Comilla team physio confirmed the matter through a statement.

Team physio SM Zahidul Islam Sazal said, “During practice, a ball hit directly at left parital area (head) of Mustafizur rahman. There was open wound at his parital area and we have worked with compression Bandage to stop bleeding and immediately had shifted him to Imperial Hospital.”

Mustafiz sustained external head injury during a practice session of his team at the Zahur Ahmed Chowdhury Stadium in Chattogram on Sunday afternoon.

The incident took place when Mustafizur was going to the bowling end at the nets to start for a new ball but at that moment, a ball struck by Liton Das from the batsman's end hit Mustafizur's head.

Mustafiz has taken 11 wickets in nine matches in the ongoing Bangladesh Premier League (BPL) so far for Comilla.
