Sheikh Anwar Hossain, father of deputy manager (advertisement) of the Daily Sun Gias Uddin Emon, passed away on Thursday. He was 84.

He breathed his last at village home in Bagerhat around 5:30pm. 

Sheikh Anwar was suffering from various old age complications.

He left behind three sons, three daughters and a host of relatives to mourn his death.

In a message of condolence, all journalists and employees of the newspaper expressed profound shock at his death.

They also prayed for the salvation of the departed soul and extended deep sympathy to the bereaved family members.

It may be mentioned that Gias Uddin Emon lost his mother on June 17 this year.
