At least four people, including a student, were killed in separate road accidents in Chapainawabganj and Kishoreganj on Wednesday.
In Chapainawabganj, two people were killed in a head-on collision between a tractor and a trolley in Kharakpur area under Shibganj upazila of Chapainawabganj.
Confirming the news, Chowdhury Jobayer, officer-in-charge (OC) of Shibganj Police Station, said the tractor collided with the trolley coming from opposite direction on Sonamasjid road at 10:30am, leaving Momin dead on the spot and another injured.
In Kishoreganj, two people, including a student, were killed after a human hauler (locally known as nosimon) hit a CNG-run-auto-rickshaw in Bhairab upazila of Kishoreganj.
The deceased were identified as Md Arfan Ali, 45, and fifth grader Amin, son of Md Murshid Mia.
Golam Mostofa, officer-in-charge of Bhairab Police Station, said that the accident took place at 12:30pm adjacent to a primary school in Gazaria Union of the upazila.
