BDU VC pays homage to the Father of the Nation

Vice Chancellor Professor Dr Munaj Ahmed Noor of Bangabandhu Sheikh Mujibur Rahman Digital University (BDU) has paid homage to Father of the Nation Bangabandhu Sheikh Mujibur Rahman at Tungipara, Gopalganj on the occasion of his Homecoming Day.

Munaj Ahmed Noor paid the homage by laying a wreath at the Bangabandhu's mausoleum on Thursday (January 13).

After paying his respects, VC Munaz Ahmed said that Bangabandhu Sheikh Mujibur Rahman, the father of the Bengali nation was at the root of all the success and achievements of Bengalis. He is our source of inspiration. His deeds and ideals will live among us forever.

He also called upon the young generation to learn from the ideals of Father of the Nation and work unitedly for building a developed and prosperous Bangladesh by 2041 under the visionary leadership of Bangabandhu's daughter Sheikh Hasina.

Later, special prayers were offered for the forgiveness of the souls of Father of the Nation Bangabandhu Sheikh Mujibur Rahman and all the martyred members of his family on 15 August 1975 and for the longevity of the Hon'ble Prime Minister Sheikh Hasina.

After that VC Munaj Ahmed along with teachers, officials and staffs of the University visited Bangabandhu Museum adjacent to the Tomb Complex of Father of the Nation Bangabandhu Sheikh Mujibur Rahman and paid deep homage to Father of the Nation Bangabandhu Sheikh Mujibur Rahman and signed on the visitors’ book after recording his commentary.

Among others, Senior System Analyst Muhammad Shahinul Kabir, Head of Department of Education (Additional Responsibilities) Md. Ashrafuzzaman, Assistant Professor of Information and Communication Technology Department Samsuddin Ahmed, Head of Department of Information and Communication Technology (Acting) Farzana Akter were also present during the occasion.
