BDU VC inaugurates two-day science fair at Kaliakair

Vice Chancellor (VC) Dr Munaj Ahmed Noor of Bangabandhu Sheikh Mujibur Rahman Digital University (BDU) inaugurated a two-day science fair at Kaliakair in Gazipur at noon on Monday marking the 43rd National Science and Technology Week 2021.

Organized by the Kaliakair Upazila Administration, the fair is sponsored by the Ministry of Science and Technology and is supervised by the Science and Technology Museum.

University Registrar (Additional Responsibilities) Md. Ashraf Uddin, Senior System Analyst Muhammad Shahinul Kabir, Upazila Nirbahi Officer Tajwar Akram Sakapi Ibne Sajjad, Assistant Commissioner Land, Head of Education Department of the University (Additional Responsibilities) Md. Ashrafuzzaman, Assistant Professor Samsuddin Ahmed of the Information and Communication Technology department, Head (Acting) of the department Farzana Akter, Upazila Assistant Education Officer, Upazila Social Service Officer, Upazila Youth Development Officer were also present during the occasion.

A total of 23 stalls with the participation of primary, secondary and higher secondary educational institutions of the upazila and Bangabandhu Sheikh Mujibur Rahman Digital University, Bangladesh imparted ideas about various technologies to the visitors.

BDU Prof. Munaj Ahmed Noor, Executive Officer and others visited the stalls of various educational institutions of the upazila including the Bangabandhu Sheikh Mujibur Rahman Digital University.

After the inauguration, Munaj Ahmed Noor said, “I am overwhelmed to see the beautiful science and technology based projects that the students of primary, secondary, higher secondary and Bangabandhu Sheikh Mujibur Rahman Digital University have demonstrated here beautifully. The way our soft-spoken students told me about solar panels, wind power, the Fourth Industrial Revolution, Renewable Energy, I think these words have already taken root in their psyche.”
