The authorities concerned have closed Chattogram Medical College and Hospital (CMCH) for indefinite period following a factional clash between two groups of Chhatra League, the student wing of ruling Awami League.
Inspector and in-Charge of CMCH police outpost Nurul Alam confirmed the matter to media on Saturday afternoon.
Besides, the students have been asked to vacate the dormitories by this evening.
A five-member probe committee has been formed to investigate the incident.
