A woman, who suffered burn injuries in an explosion due to pipeline gas leakage at the city’s Mirpur area on August 26, died at a hospital in the capital on Wednesday morning.
Renu Begum (35), with 38 percent burns, breathed her last around 7:00am while being treated at the intensive care unit at Sheikh Hasina National Institute of Burn and Plastic Surgery.
With this, a total of five persons died in the explosion so far.
Two other injured: Naznin Akhter (25) and her daughter Nawshin (5), are being treated at the hospital.
Seven people, including a child, were hospitalised for burn injuries after being caught in the gas line explosion on the ground floor of a six-storey building in Block C of Mirpur 11 on Wednesday.
