Bangladesh confirmed 30 more Covid-19 deaths in the last 24 hours till Thursday 8:00am, taking the country's death toll to 12,724.
However, the fatality rate remained unchanged at 1.58%, according to the data provided by the Directorate General of Health Services (DGHS).Meanwhile, 1,687 more people were infected with Covid-19 in the last 24 hours, which took the case count to 8,05,980.
In the preceding 24 hours, the positivity rate was recorded at 9.94% after testing 16,972 samples in 509 labs across the country.
Also, 1,970 patients were declared free of Covid-19 during the last 24 hours, with a 92.57% recovery rate.
The country's maiden cases were reported on 8 March last year and the first death from the virus was reported on 18 March.
