Drug dealer killed in Cox’s Bazar ‘gunfight’

A Rohingya drug peddler was killed in a reported gunfight with Border Guard Bangladesh in Ghumdhum area of Naikhyangchhari of Bandarban on Thursday night.

The deceased was identified as Mohammad Ibrahim, son of Syed Alam, a resident of Kutupalong Rohingya camp.

Lieutenant Colonel Ali Haider Azad Ahmed, commander of BGB in Cox's Bazar-34, confirmed the matter to media.

The BGB men recovered a gun, two bullets and 80,000 yaba pills from the spot, he said.
