BCL Football begins Feb 7

Country’s second tier football league Bangladesh Championship League 2020-21 will kick off on February 7 at the Bir Sherestha Sepoy Shipahi Mostafa Kamal Stadium in the capital.

The announcement came after a meeting of Bangladesh Football Federation Professional Football League Committee, chaired by BFF Senior Vice-President and PFLC Chairman Abdus Salam Murshedy MP, at the BFF house in Motijheel on Saturday.

The committee also told all the participating players and officials to do COVID-19 tests before starting the league.

A total of 12 teams are taking part in the league this year-- NoFeL SC, Farashgonj SC, Victoria SC, Agrani Bank Ltd SC, Fakirerpool Young Men's Club, Dhaka City FC, Shadhinata Krira Sangha, Kawran Bazar Progoti Sangha, Dhaka Wanderers Club, Fortis FC Ltd, Uttara Football Club and Wari Club.

All participating teams completed players’ registration formalities on Jan 16.
