2 workers killed as human hauler overturns in Pabna

Two workers were killed and several others injured after a shallow engine-run human hauler (locally known as nosimon) turned turtle in Iswardi upazila of Pabna on Sunday morning.

The deceased were identified as Anisur Rahman, 31, son of Asgar Ali, hailing from Moslempur village in Bheramara upazila of Kushtia and Abdul Khaleque, 32, son of Ibrahim Hossain, from Damukadia village of the upazial.

Both of them were working at Rooppur nuclear power plant project in Ishwardi.

Confirming the news, Maniruzzaman, officer-in-charge (OC) of Pakshey highway police outpost, said the vehicle carrying the victims lost control and overturned at Pakshey Lalon Shah Bridge on Kushtia-Ishwardi Highway, leaving the workers dead on the spot and several others injured.
