Global coronavirus death toll climbs to 724,081

A total of 724,081 people died from coronavirus worldwide in the  213 countries and territories since the virus emerged in Wuhan of China last December, according to latest data from worldometer.

So far, 19,545,326 coronavirus cases have been detected  till Saturday (Bangladesh Time 10:30 am). Of them, 12,545,628 patients have been considered recovered, the source said.

Apart from this, the number of active cases are 6,275,617.

With the new tally in the 24-hour, 6,394 patients died from coronavirus while 287,664 patients have tested positive for coronavirus, and 187,966 patients have made fully recovery.

Among the coronavirus affected countries, the US has gone up to 164,094 deaths, followed by Brazil with 99,702, Mexico 51,311, UK 46,511, India 42,578, Italy 35,190, France 30,324, Spain 28,503, Iran 18,132, Russia 14,725, Germany 9,254, Canada 8,970, Pakistan 6,052, Indonesia 5,593, Saudi Arab 3,093, Oman 502 and Australia 278 respectively, worldometer reported.
