Nominations called for ‘Begum Rokeya Padak-2020’

The Ministry of Women and Children Affairs is inviting applications for ‘Rokeya Padak-2020’.

Bangladeshi women who have contributions to women’s education, their rights, socio-economic development, literature and rural development are requested to apply for the nominations in the specific form available on the official website, said an notification issued by the ministry today.

The application forms can be collected from the websites of the Women and Children’s Affairs Ministry and the Department of Women’s Affairs as following- and

Applications or nomination papers will not be accepted in any of the ‘tables’ other than the prescribed ones, added the notification.

A printout of the form must be sent to: Secretary, Ministry of Women and Children Affairs, Bangladesh Secretariat, Dhaka, by 31 July.

It has been mentioned in the notification that soft copy of the application can be sent by e-mail to [email protected]

Begum Rokeya Sakhawat Hossain was the leading feminist writer and social worker during the early 20th century, and is best-known for her efforts for achieving gender equality and women’s education.
