Indian Border Security Force (BSF) picked up five Bangladeshi nationals including three members of Rapid Action Battalion (RAB) from near Ashabari border under Brahmanpara upazil in Cumilla on Thursday morning.

The RAB persons are members of the Crime Prevention Company (CPC)-2 of RAB-11 and the other two are their sources. However, their identities couldn’t be known immediately.

Confirming this to media, Cumilla District Police Special Branch Inspector Mahbub Morshed said, “I have received the news of the arrest of three RAB members and their two sources. They were picked up by the BSF men around 9:00 am.”

The Border Guard Bangladesh (BGB) will arrange a flag meeting with the BSF within hours to bring back them, he added.
