Schoolboy killed in Brahmanbaria road crash

A 6-year old boy was killed as an auto-rickshaw hit him in front of Uttar Narayanpur Government Primary School of Nabinagar upazila in Brahmanbaria on Wednesday noon.

The deceased was identified as Tamim, 6, a student of class I in the School, son of Shahin Mia, hailing from Maddhopara area at Narayanpur village of the upazila.

Quoting locals, police said that a speedy auto-rickshaw hit Tamim when he was crossing the road at the area around 11: 00 am, leaving him critically injured.

Later, locals took the injured to Upazila Health Complex where duty doctor declared him dead.

Confirming the news, Raju Ahmmed, sub-inspector (investigation) of Nabinagar Police Station, said that the body was sent to District Sadar Hospital morgue for an autopsy.
