Dhaka education board, with 29,393 GPA-5 holders, again emerged top among ten boards in this year’s Secondary School Certificate (SSC) and equivalent examinations.
Statistics showed that the examinees of Dhaka Education Board achieved better result in terms of GPA-5.According to statistics released from the education ministry, a total of 1,05,594 examinees secured GPA-5 in SSC and its equivalent exams this year. Of them, 29,687 got GPA-5 under Dhaka Board.
In 2018, Dhaka education board was on top with 41,585 GPA-5 holders.
A total 22,795 examinees achieved GPA-5 in Rajshahi board, 8,764 in Comilla, 9,948 in Jeshore, 7,393 in Chattogram, 4,189 in Barishal, 2,757 in Sylhet, 9,023 in Dinajpur, 6287 in Madrasha board and 8,751 in Technical board.
A total of 10,59, 288 female students appeared in the examinations and 10,68,527 male students took part under the ten boards. Of them, 8,66,941 boys while 8,82,224 female students came out successfully.
This year, 82.20 percent students passed the SSC and equivalent tests, which is 4.43 percent increased compared to previous year.
