The leaders of Jatiya Oikya Front are not going to the Gano Bhaban’s tea party on February 2 accepting the invitation of Prime Minister Sheikh Hasina, said Gono Forum Executive President Subrata Chowdhury.
He made the comment on Saturday soon after Prime Minister’s Office (PMO) sent separate invitation cards to all the steering committee members of the alliance inviting them on tea.
He said, "I personally think we should not attend the tea party. But, our official decision in this regard will come later."
Subrata Chowdhury's invitation letter reads, “You’re invited to exchange greetings over tea at Gano Bhaban at 3:30pm on February 2.”
Gono Forum training affairs secretary Rafiqul Islam Pathik said two staff of the PMO came to their office around 11 am and handed over the invitation cards for all the Oikya Front steering committee members, including Dr Kamal Hossain, Mirza Fakhrul Islam Alamgir, Khandaker Mosharraf Hossain, Moudud Ahmed, ASM Abdur Rob, Subrata Chowdhury, Mostafa Mohsin Montu and Mahmudur Rahman Manna.
