Sexagenarian killed in C’nawabganj road accident

A sexagenarian man was killed and six more people injured in a collision between a battery-run auto rickshaw and a human hauler at Bailtala in Shibganj upazila on Saturday afternoon.

The deceased was identified as Rustam Ali, 60, son of Munir Uddin, a resident of Chaitannapur village in the upazila.

Sub-inspector of Shibganj Police Station Moazzem Hossain said Rustam was going towards the upazila headquarters by the auto rickshaw in the afternoon.

When the vehicle reached Bailtala, a speeding human hauler hit the three-wheeler around 3pm, leaving Rustam dead on the spot and injured six passengers of the both vehicle.

Four of the injured were whisked off to Chapainawabganj Sadar Hospital while two to Rajshahi Medical College Hospital.
