Youth shot in AL supporters clash in city

A rickshaw-puller has sustained bullet injury during a clash between two groups of ruling Awami League supporters at Posta in the capital’s Lalbagh.


The injured has been identified as Abdur Rahman, 20 has been admitted to Dhaka Medical College Hospital, said police sources at DMCH.


Police said Rahman was shot in the left thigh when two groups of youths engaged in violent clashes on Wednesday afternoon.


Chowkbazar Police Station OC Shamimur Rashid told that the clashes involved “two factions of ruling party men”.


He pleaded ignorance about the reason behind the clashes.
