Fire Service and Civil Defence Department Director General Brigadier General Mohammad Jahed Kamal cuts a cake at the Fire Service and Civil Defence Training Complex in Mirpur, Dhaka, to celebrate the institution’s 44th anniversary on Wednesday. Directors and officials of various ranks from the department were present during the event. The department was established on 9 April 1981 by merging the Fire Service Department, the Civil Defence Department, and the Rescue Unit of the Roads and Highways Department.
