A fire that broke out at Korail slum in Dhaka has been brought under control.

Firefighters were alerted to the incident at 12:53pm on Tuesday, said the media cell of the Fire Service and Civil Defence.

Six units rushed to the spot and tamed the blaze around 1:40pm, it said.

The cause of the fire could not be known immediately.
