Fakirerpool Young Men’s Club got off to a winning start in the BFF U-16 Football League 2023-24 as they beat Uttara Football Club Ltd by 3-1 goals in the opening match at the Bir Shreshtha Shaheed Sepoy Mohammad Mostafa Kamal Stadium in Kamalapur on Tuesday.

Robin scored a brace and Salman added one for Fakirerpool YMC while Abu Husain reduced the gap for Uttara FC.
The league kicked off after a long break of two seasons.
The previous 2021-22 edition of this age-level competition, where the U-16 teams of the Bangladesh Championship League (BCL) outfits took part, was held between September-October in 2022.
