Workers at a farm in Lalmonirhat are seen removing the husk of freshly harvested maize, providing ample yields for farmers in the country, while others are busy loading a truck to take the grains to wholesalers.

A USDA data shows that Bangladesh needs up to 75 million tonnes of corn and uses the grain to make feed for poultry,

fish and livestock, but local production is approximately 50 million tonnes of corn. The rest is imported. The snaps were taken on Friday.
