Cold chain expo, SafeCon 2024 kick off at ICCB

The international exhibition titled “SafeCon 2024” on the infrastructure industry of Bangladesh and the country’s first-ever cold chain expo began on Thursday at the International Convention City Bashundhara (ICCB) in Dhaka.
The three-day long expo will run till 18 May. The stalls will remain open to all visitors from 10am till 7pm every day.
Federation of Bangladesh Chamber of Commerce and Industry (FBCCI) Senior Vice President Md Amin Helaly inaugurated the expo organised by Savor International Limited.
President of Australia Bangladesh Chamber of Commerce and Industry Syed Moazzem Hossain, President of Bangladesh Cold Storage Association (BCSA) Mostofa Azad Chowdhury Babu, and Senior Vice President of Bangladesh China Chamber of Commerce and Industry ATM Azizul Akil David were present on the occasion.
Speakers emphasised the need for the development of a robust cold chain system to ensure proper management of perishable products in the country.
They also underscored the crucial role of cold chain infrastructure in the agricultural and food sectors of Bangladesh.
