Iftar brings pleasure to devotees
Bashundhara Group has been hosting the iftar programme for the third consecutive year

Thousands of men and women participated in an iftar programme of the Bashundhara Group at Baitul Mukarram National Mosque in the capital on Wednesday, the 23rd of Ramadan.
The industrial conglomerate in association with Baitul Mukarram National Mosque Musalli Committee hosted the iftar programme for the third consecutive year.
Under the initiative of Bashundhara Group Managing Director Sayem Sobhan Anvir, around 21,000 iftar meals are distributed each day of Ramadan in different parts of the country.
There is a speciality of the iftar programme at Baitul Mukarram as the organiser reserves 200 units of iftar meals for female devotees. With the presence of more than 3,000 fasting people every day, a pleasant religious atmosphere is being created at the mosque.
As the time of iftar approaches, the number of fasting people increases. The volunteers became busy with the distribution of meals in line with iftar time.
Musalli Committee President Eakub Ali and General Secretary Mizanur Rahman Manik are supervising the iftar distribution programme.
Eakub Ali said iftar is being distributed at Baitul Mukarram National Mosque for the third year in a row by the Bashundhara Group.
“Every day, 3,000 fasting people get iftar from Bashundhara Group. Bashundhara Group Managing Director Sayem Sobhan Anvir is supporting the programme as he constantly serves Islam,” he said.
More than 3,000 people take iftar at Baitul Mukarram National Mosque while women feel happy with separate arrangements for them.
