The 16th edition of International Children’s Film Festival Bangladesh has concluded at Bangladesh Shilpakala Academy (BSA). The closing ceremony of the three -day fest was held at the auditorium of the National Art Gallery of the academy on Saturday.
Noted cultural personality and lawmaker Asaduzzaman Noor attended the closing ceremony as the chief guest. Founder of Children’s Film Society Bangladesh Morshedul Islam, its president Muhammed Zafar Iqbal, general secretary Munira Morshed Munni and festival director Shahriar Al Mamun were also present.
Five films were given award in two categories- Bangladeshi Children Filmmaker category and Bangladeshi Youth Filmmaker category at the closing ceremony.
Amitrakhar Biswas won first prize for the film ‘Lallaby’, Mohammad Niaz Hasan received second prize for the film ‘Order’ and Irtija Alam Joyeeta and Aminul Islam Niloy jointly bagged third prize for ‘Euphoric Paranoia’ in the Bangladeshi Children Filmmaker category.
Mustak Muzahid won first prize for the film ‘Prothasiddho’ and Novera Hasan Nikkon won second prize for ‘Aguan Sun behind the Horizon’ in the Bangladeshi Youth Filmmaker category.
Information and Broadcasting Minister Dr Hasan Mahmud inaugurated the international film festival on Thursday. The slogan of this year festival was ‘Frame e Frame e Agamir Swapno’.
A total of 101 films from 39 countries, including Bangladesh, Argentina, India, Brazil, China, Egypt, France, Germany and Iran participated in the festival.
