The incumbent business-friendly government has undertaken various multi-faceted initiatives to build an advanced and smart Bangladesh.

The newly-elected president of Chattogram Chamber of Commerce and Industry (CCCI) Omar Hajjaj said this at a seminar titled "Income Tax and Finance Law 2023".

SNAC Advisory Services Ltd, in collaboration with CCCI, organised the seminar at the World Trade Centre in Chattogram, according to a press release.

Alongside industrialization and infrastructure development, efforts are being made to facilitate business and reduce the cost of doing business through diverse initiatives, Omar Hajjaj said.

As a part of this plan, after 101 years, a law has been enacted in the country to address tax-related issues, he stated.

"Currently, a certain fear prevails among tax providers. So, if the complexities of the law are simplified and presented to everyone, the country's revenue collection will gain more momentum," he added.

In the seminar, SNAC Advisory Services Ltd.'s Managing Director, Snehashish Barua FCA, presented various topics and practical intricacies of the "Income Tax and Finance Law 2023" through the medium of infographics.

Among others, the newly elected directors of the chamber were also present.
