The 24th Annual General Meeting (AGM) of Bangladesh Association of Software and Information Services (BASIS) was held at RAOWA Convention Hall in the capital on Tuesday.
At the meeting, the Annual Report of BASIS for the year 2022, along with the Accounts of the Association and the Auditor's Report for the fiscal year 2021–2022, was presented.
In the meeting, an auditor was also appointed to audit the income and expenditure accounts for the fiscal year 2022–23.
At the meeting, BASIS Vice President (Admin) Abu Daud Khan presented the activities report implemented by BASIS in the last year.
At the meeting, BASIS members urged the BASIS leaders to play an effective role in the development of the ICT sector and create a business-friendly environment for all.
BASIS President Russell T. Ahmed presided over the AGM while other Executive Council (EC) members, including BASIS Vice President (Admin) Abu Daud Khan, BASIS Vice President (Finance) Fahim Ahmed, BASIS Directors Habibullah Neyamul Karim , AKM Ahmedul Islam BABU, Mushfiqur Rahman, Syed Mohammad Kamal, Md. Mostafizur Rahman Sohel, and Rashad Kabir, were present at the AGM.
At the meeting, BASIS President Russell T. Ahmed, said, "We have organised the 17th BASISSoftExpo, the largest IT exhibition in South Asia. Through which we have shown proof of Bangladesh's capability in the information technology sector."
