SHERPUR: A court here on Wednesday awarded a man to death sentence for killing his wife in Sadar upazila of the district two years back.
Judge of district Women and Children Repression Prevention Tribunal Iman Ali Sheikh pronounced the verdict upon Mokbul Hossain, 35, a resident of Mirzapur Kandipara village under Sadar upazila. The judge also fined Mokbul Tk 50,000.
Following the murder, Nurunnahar’s brother filed a case accusing six people with Sadar Thana.
