League leaders Bashundhara Kings will be looking to clinch their eighth successive victory in the ongoing Bangladesh Premier League 2022-23 when they take on Mohammedan Sporting Club at the Shaheed Dhirendranath Datta Stadium in Cumilla today.
The match is scheduled to start at 03:00pm (BST) and will be telecast live on T Sports.
Kings are enjoying a great run of form in the ongoing meet as they won all seven BPL games this season and are in the top position with 21 points.
They have already taken a six-point lead over second-placed Dhaka Abahani Limited and a victory over Mohammedan in today’s game will extend the lead to nine points.
Meanwhile, Mohammedan have a disappointing start in the meet as they can earn only six points from six matches and are currently in eighth position in the 11-team points table.
After winning their opening game against Bangladesh Police FC by a 2-0 margin, Mohammedan failed to win any of their last five BPL games and also had to finish on the losing side twice.
Meanwhile, in the day’s other game, Chittagong Abahoni Limited will take on Fortis FC at the Shaheed Bir Sreshtha Flight Lieutenant Matiur Rahman Stadium in Munshiganj.
Chittagong Ahahoni are in 10th place with three points from six matches while Fortis earn seven points from six matches to be placed sixth in the current points table.
