Popular News

Leaders of the Islami Oikyajote on Saturday staged a demonstration protesting against the new educational curriculum terming it as anti-Islam.

They also demanded cancellation of the new curriculum.  The Islamic party staged the protest programme at north gate of Baitul Mukarram National Mosque in the capital after Zuhr prayers. After the meeting, a protest procession was brought out from there.

The speakers also urged the concerned authorities to eradicate corruption, control essential prices hike and ensure Islami commands. In the programme, IOJ President Maulana Abul Hasanat Amini claimed that the new educational curriculum would make the new generation atheist and idolatrous.

“An attempt is being done to destroy the faith of Muslim students by adding necked photos, idols, Darwinism, Hinduism and opposing facial hair and porda (hijjab) in textbooks,” he said.

He also said, “We do not want to see the theory of Darwin where 92 percent Muslims live. We want to see our own and religious cultures and civilisation and presentation of authentic history,” he said. Senior leaders of the party were present at the programme.
