JCI Dhaka South forms new board for 2023

JCI  Dhaka South, an extension of JCI Bangladesh and Junior Chamber International, forms its new board for 2023 at its general assembly held at Gulshan Club in Dhaka recently.

Md Iqbal Elahi Khan, proprietor of Japan Auto and owner of Dhaka Snipers cricket team, will lead the new board as its elected local president. Steve Ben D'silva will be acting as immediate past local president and Sara Fariha as the secretary general for the board in 2023, the JCI Dhaka South said in a statement.

The election commissioner Kazi Fahad conducted the election and the board members officially took an oath in the presence of distinguished special guests Tangail-2 Lawmaker Tanvir Hasan Soto Monir, Gulshan Club's President Rafiqul Alam, National President of JCI Bangladesh Ziaul Haque and members of the national governing board of JCI Bangladesh.

Among others, Naj Afrin Yasmin and BM Jahid Hossain Maruf took oath as executive vice-presidents, Khandaker Rajib Hasan as general legal counsel, and Anika Tasnim as treasurer.

The new board is set to address social issues and developing sustainable solution aligning projects with SDGs while aiding members on personal development and educating on becoming active citizens.

JCI is a non-profit international and non-governmental organization of young active citizens aged between 18 to 40.
