Bangladesh archer Hakim Ahmed Rubel confirmed a silver medal after he reached in the men’s recurve individual event final in the ongoing Asia Cup World Ranking Tournament Stage 3 in Sharjah, United Arab Emirates on Friday.
Rubel defeated South Korea’s Kang Minseung in the tie-breaker and won the match by 6-5 set points during the semifinal. He will play Kazakhstan’s Abdullin Ilfat in the final on Sunday.
In the round of eight, Rubel beat India’s Akash by 6-4 set points to qualify for the last four.
Meanwhile, Bangladesh archers will also fight for four bronze medals in the - recurve men’s team, recurve mixed team, compound men’s team and compound mixed team – events during the ongoing meet.
