‘New export policy to bring dynamism in foreign trade’

BARISHAL: Chittagong Hill Tracts Peace Accord Implementation and Monitoring Committee Convener Abul Hasanat Abdullah on Tuesday said that the export policy 2022-2024 has been formulated to bring dynamism in export-trade and strengthen Bangladesh's confidence in competitive special-trade.

He said these while exchanging views with local businessmen at Seral of Agailjhara upazila in Barishal district, reports BSS.                 Hasnat Abdullah lauded the role of the business-community in increasing the diversity and quality of Bangladeshi products in the domestic and international markets.

He said traders should be vocal against so-called syndicates to help develop the national economy as well as stabilize commodity prices.

Hasanat Abdullah also said that export incentives have been announced for 43 goods and services sectors for the fiscal year 2021-2022 as part of various policy-assistance for product diversification.

These activities reflect the current government's business-friendly policies, he added.
