Saurabh stars as India A clinch series

Left-arm spinner Saurabh Kumar starred with the ball once again as he claimed 6-74 in Bangladesh A second innings as India A clinched an innings and 123 runs win over the hosts in the second unofficial Test to confirm a 1-0 series victory in Sylhet on Friday.

Resuming an overnight score of 49-2, Bangladesh A lost Mominul Haque (six) early on the final day before Shadman Islam and Shahadat Hossain Dipu (29) put up a 54-run stand to take Bangladesh score over the 100-run mark.

Saurabh, who took nine wickets in the first drawn match, then hit back with quick wickets while Navdeep Saini (2-54) and Umesh Yadav (2-34) also chipped in as Bangladesh lost their remaining seven wickets for just 77 runs to get bowled out for 187 runs in their second innings to suffer a massive defeat in the contest.

Opener Shadman was the lone fighter in the Bangladesh innings as he made an unbeaten 93 runs off 230 balls.

India earlier declared their first innings at 562-9 after Bangladesh made 252 runs after being sent into bat first.
