Raw jute exports made unconditional

Bangladesh Bank has directed the commercial banks to allow unconditional export of raw jutes.

Foreign Exchange Policy Department of the central bank issued a circular in this regard on Wednesday.

 “Following the notification of the commerce ministry, the raw jute export rules have been relaxed and made the export unconditional,” read a circular signed by FEPD Director Sarwar Hossain.

Earlier, the Ministry of Commerce issued a directive on the matter.
