At least four people were killed and seven others injured in separate road accidents in two districts on Thursday and Friday.
In Dhaka, a woman was killed after a bus ran her over at ECB Chattar in the capital on Friday.
A bus operated by Basumati Paribahan hit Kulsum and the child while they were crossing the road around 10 am, which left the woman dead on the spot, said Chief of Cantonment Police Station Kazi Sahan Haq.
In another accident in Savar, two persons were killed and two others injured in a head-on collision between two motorcycles on the Dhaka-Aricha highway on Thursday night. The accident took place at Dhulivita bus stand in Dhamrai.
Hashem, 42, of Khatra village of Dhamrai was killed on the spot. The other three people were taken to Dhamrai Upazila Health Complex by the fire service personnel but one motorcyclist - Roni, 40, died while undergoing treatment.
Officer-in-Charge of Dhamrai Police Station Atiqur Rahman said a case was filed with the police station in connection with this incident.
In Sylhet, a college student was killed and four others were injured in a road accident in Bishwanath of the district on Friday.
