At least three people, including two women, were killed in three separate road accidents in Dhaka on Sunday morning.
One of them was identified as Al Amin, 29, who was a day labourer by profession.
Police and family members said Al-Amin was critically injured when a bus hit him while he was crossing the Mirpur zoo road, in front of Sony Cinema Hall around 8:30am.
Later, he was admitted to Dhaka Medical College Hospital (DMCH), where an on-duty doctor declared him dead.
A 58-year-old woman was critically injured as a speedy bus of Asian Paribahan hit her when she was crossing the road in front of Gulistan underground market around 9:30am.
Local people rescued her and sent her to DMCH but the duty physician pronounced her dead.
In another incident, a battery-run autorickshaw hit a 40-year-old woman in the city's Dakskhinkhan Kasaibari area around 7:30am. She was taken to DMCH in a critical state and declared dead by the duty doctor.
The bodies of the women were kept at the morgue, said DMCH police camp in-charge Bachchu Mia.
