‘Follow Bangabandhu’s ideals, values to build healthy society’

Deputy Minister for Education Barrister Mohibul Hasan Chowdhury Nowfel, MP, has urged the students to build a healthy society by cherishing the ideals and values of the Father of the Nation Bangabandhu Sheikh Mujibur Rahman.

Asking the future generation to transform sorrow into strength, he said that Bangabandhu had taught us to love the country and its people. He has handed over to us an independent country and her daughter Prime Minister Sheikh Hasina to finish his unfinished task of building a hunger and poverty-free country.

Nowfel, also a lawmaker elected from Chattogram-9 constituency, was addressing a discussion as the chief guest where copies of Bangabandhu’s autobiographical book ‘The Unfinished Memories’ was distributed among students of Kazem Ali High School and College in Chattogram yesterday.   ‘Uddokta Chattogram’ organized the event on the school premises commemorating painful August, the month of mourning.

Chattogram Metropolitan Jubo Mohila League leader and ‘Uddokta Chattogram’ founder Sania Azad chaired the event, while it was attended, by former finance secretary of central Awami Jubo League Helal Akbar Chowdhury (Babar) as the special guest, Kazem Ali High School and College management committee chairman Md Shahabuddin Ahmed, also the president of Chawkbazar Thana Awami League (AL), Chawkbazar Thana AL general secretary Ansarul Huq, No-16 Chawkbazar Ward councilor Nur Mustafa Tipu and female  councilor Ramaki Sengupta. Ishmam Shahriar of ‘Uddokta Chattogram’ moderated the event.

While addressing as special guest, Jubo League leader Helal Akbar Chowdhury (Babar) called upon the students to cherish the ideology and values of Bangandhu in mind for helping build a developed, prosperous, hunger and poverty-free Bangladesh and a just society where everyone will be treated equally, irrespective of caste, creed, gender, religion and language as dreamt by the great leader.

Quoting from ‘The Unfinished Memories’ of Bangabandhu, Sania Azad, in her presidential speech, said that by materializing the Father of the Nation’s ideals and dreams it will be possible to transform Bangladesh into a developed country.

Among others, Chattogram Purbo Solosahar Ward AL publicity and publication secretary Md Kafiluddin, Chattogram Metropolitan Jubo Mohila League convening committee member Israt Jahan, Kaniz Fatema, Nasrin Sultana, Fatma Nasrin Proma, Nowrin Chowdhury Flora were present on the occasion.
