CHATTOGRAM: A weeklong Arabian food festival titled ‘Gulf Night’ began at ‘The Peninsula Chittagong,’ a four-star hotel in the port city, on Thursday.

Chattogram Development Authority (CDA) Chairman M Jahirul Alam Dobhash inaugurated the festival at Leguna Restaurant of the hotel.

The hotel authority decorated the restaurant with an Arabian environment while a good number of Arabian dishes prepared by their international executive chef were displayed.

The mouth-watering dishes include khabsa dajaj, shish taouk, mutton ouzi, hummus, falafel, baba ghanoush and the desserts baklava, kunafa, mahalabia and basbousa.

The foodies will be able to enjoy the festival at Tk 3,000 (all inclusive) per person) while Buy-1-Get-1-Free offer will be available with cards of some banks.

The hotel General Manager Sumedha Gunawardana and other officials attended the inaugural ceremony.
